My university, UCSB, beat Duke 5-0 to advance to the NCAA Championship for Division I. I can't belive how awesome this is. I got to see them win 4-1 at home to make it to the semis, and now they're in the final. The game here was crazy. Everyone rushed the field afterward. It was great. Some of my roommates helped hijack one of the goals, but they only made it about 3 blocks away before the police stopped them. Luckily, my roommates escaped arrest. The best part of all this is that the final is at the Home Depot Center which is on my way back to San Diego for winter break. So I get to see my school compete for our first ever National Divison I title in any sport. We're playing the defending national champs Indiana, but we beat them earlier this season so we should have a good chance of taking home the title. Soccer is the best.

Go big Red! Beat the Slugs!
But congrats to your team and have fun in SD. I lived in Coronado for 9 years and both of my kids were born in San Diego.

We're not the slugs. We're the Gauchos. But we lost on penalty kicks. Which really sucks. We dominated the second half and overtime, we just couldn't put another one in the goal. Well, that's how things go. Oh well.

Sorry I was thinking of the Bannana slugs at Santa Cruz. WHy? I have no clue. Was it fun to watch though?

Yeah, it was a really good game. And since the Home Depot Center is in LA, which is close to Santa Barbara, there were tons of UCSB fans.
